Scrapbasket Quilt Guild

June 17, 2026 Minutes:

7:00 pm - Meeting called to order, president, Sandy Beard’s greeting

– Plan to reschedule Quilts of Valor presentation, quilt shown to guild

– Donation quilts – Bring any donations to Evelyn Stephenson, Cindy Johnson out tonight,

Reminder to gather donations and beelet baskets for auction coming up in August

– Mary Lynne Meranda – retreat sign up interest sheet sent around last month did not show

enough interest to do a guild retreat this year. She updated guild on large number of baby and

children’s quilts made for Project Linus at Love it Sew recently

– Quilts of valor – 1 completed quilt shown to group and reminder to bring completed blocks

back soon

– Raffle Quilt 2027- Jenna Chamberlain explained plan to wide spread guild participation to

complete around 300 FPP scrappy triangles and then another group will source background

fabric to complete squares. Request to return completed triangles untrimmed to guild by

September meeting.

– Challenge of the month show and tell

– Guests introduced

– Blocks of the month show and tell

– Thank you to snack volunteers and sign up sheet sent around to fill in openings

– Request for volunteers to consider doing Vice President and Newsletter for 2027

– Show and tell

– Program for the evening by Lisa Lueck, a “cuddle ambassador for Shannon Fabrics”

8:30 pm – clean up
